Staying at this B&B was a comfortable and good value experience behind a locked door from the stairwell, with the added bonus of having its own air conditioning unit which would be a Godsend in the summer. The service, particularly during our last-minute booking, was a bit inconsistent with the hotel owner being absent most of the time. The location was excellent for tourists due to its proximity to the train station, buses, restaurants, and a supermarket, except for the presence of drug addicts, prostitutes, and other seedy characters. The dining experience pleasantly surprised me with a small basket of goodies in the common kitchen area, making up for the pre-packaged toast situation. Overall, it's a mixed bag but good for those looking for a convenient base near public transport options.
